Mari Carmen Ballester de Torres was born in Madrid into a family of painters, she made her first Expressionist paintings at the age of 12 years. The reading of romantic writers from an early age, will leave a strong imprint on his being.


His adolescence was immersed in the cultural movement "La Movida" in a circle of artist friends from the world of music, painting, cinema, photography and fashion. His professional career started at the Museum of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Madrid where the paintings of Goya, Murillo and Sorolla will definitely mark his spirit.


At 20, she left Spain to settle in France. In Paris, his job as a newspaper editor was his encounter with the graphic arts. In painting, a series of paintings on the woman and her worries; showed the uprooting of his hometown and his family.
