Biography
Lionel Borla is a French artist Born in 1974. While studying at the National Superior School of Architecture of Marseille, Lionel Borla discovered the ideology of Corbusier, whose work has always inspired him. During his studies in architecture, Lionel liked combining different practices, creating links between architecture, painting, sculpture and music. Once graduated, Lionel Borla did not start working as a architect but he turned towards a professional practice of painting and drawing. As an artist, he wanted to be completely free in his creations. He found a favorite subject and an artistic signature, some years later. A black shadow that inhabits all his pieces. As well as musical elements, particularly the piano, an instrument he loves and plays since a very young age. Lionel Borla's work is built like an architecture, the design and the lines are graphic and geometric. The composition is stable and harmonious, the colors are skillfully combined. He acquired this sense of structure during his studies and he masters it perfectly.
