Laurent Fortier

Laurent Fortier, born in 1965, graduated in art history and anthropology, but also in metalwork and ironwork. Laurent Fortier works in his workshop garden in Cordes sur Ciel. His personal style likes air lines as well as compact masses, thus placing his characters between popular art and art brut, skilful and awkward at the same time, never narrative, necessarily, even less symbolic. Everything is tended towards the essence of being. Laurent Fortier has exhibited in France since 2012.
