Jean Burkhalter, born October 17, 1895 in Auxerre and died in 1982 in Avallon, is a French artist who was known for his multiple activities and his practice of applied arts as well as plastic arts: architect, decorator, designer of fabrics, cutlery and silverware, painter in particular of frescoes, professor of drawing and pictorial composition.
