Majo Marchand

The body has always been my favorite subject, I first painted characters, nudes and then I wanted to make visible, the invisible by staging medical imagery, mainly scanners. 

These photos are reworked and presented in light paintings but also cut, engraved and included in the painting to create abstract paintings. 

It is not a question of pathology but of duality: the human being strong in his body but fragile inside; each story exposed in the scanner becomes a work and these images imbued with meaning on our own lives, invite us as a spectator to switch our gaze between lightness and heaviness.
