Presentation

Ryan Arbilo is a Filipino artist born in 7 november 1981, who is based in Paris, France. « Chicken hands », his antecedent work of art, is a 9-pieces photography collection of Filipino women and their hands damaged by their housekeeping work. The masterpieces were creatively taken from an angle that magnifies the hands that serve as the main medium of livelihood of the subjects.

September 16, 2016, he finally opened his first exhibit at « La Maison Européenne de la Photographie » along with six other photographers, making him the first Filipino to have his works on display at the museum of photography.

Following this successfull collection, the artist is presenting « Halo-Halo ». In this new compilation, Ryan shows mixed-culture families composing the Italian father, the mother, and their europinoy offspring, photographed in an Italian ambiance. Having a local partner and raising a mixed child is one the best way to integrate to the society. The womb became an instrument of love and fusion. Different stories of love, happiness, pains, and survival will be featured in the photos taken in Padova, Bologna, Milan, Venice, Rome, Turin, and Florence.
