Vanessa Vercel - Photographer
Born in Paris and photographer for 20 years, Vanessa had the chance during confinement to be mandated by her agency and to be able to travel through her capital in order to immortalize this unprecedented period.
March 2020 was a unique experience for all of us. Paris emptied of its tourists, its pedestrians. An abandoned city, deserted but which appears under the lens of Vanessa of breathtaking beauty, as we had never seen.
For this report, she chose to work in black and white in order to add a little more intensity to her already dramatic images.
"We have the impression of the end of the world" she confides.
