Exclusively for La Manufacture, Vanessa Vercel, a talented photographer has realized a series of unique and unpublished photos that you can discover in September during an exhibition of her photos taken during the confinement :

On the occasion of the return to a "normal" life, La Manufacture joins forces with Vanessa to pay tribute to the most beautiful city in the world! Her photos taken while the city was deserted by its inhabitants give a breathtaking result, never seen before!

Born in Paris and a photographer for 20 years, Vanessa was lucky during the confinement to be mandated by her agency and to be able to travel around the capital to immortalize this unique period.

The month of March 2020 was a unique experience for all of us. Paris emptied of its tourists and pedestrians. An abandoned city, deserted but which appears under Vanessa's lens of a breathtaking beauty, as never seen before.

For this report, she chose to work in black and white to add a little more intensity to her already dramatic images.

"It feels like the end of the world," she says.
