Rachel Bergeret

Rachel Bergeret is a French artist, born in 1975 close to Grenoble. She developed a passion for fashion and art quite early, and initially began her career as a fashion designer, before trying out visual arts. She combines her two passions, and draws inspiration from each one of them, to nourish the other.

She began her creations by getting inspired through the sketches she draws at her work as a designer. Her creations are naturally filled with fashion codes. Rachel Bergeret doesn't restrain herself to only one medium, on the contrary actually, she explores many of them. Eager for new experiences, she even experiments with street art and live painting. The artist is known for her "midinette" representations, filled with humor and mockery.

Rachel Bergeret inaugurated her first solo exhibition called « Femme Fœtus » in Paris, in 2003.
