Presentation

Following a collaboration in 2009 with François Staal, songwriter and film music composer, for the creation of an album cover, Catherine decides to make it her profession.

Trained in different artist workshops, through their visions, she finds her writing, exhibits for 10 years her paintings in eclectic places and devotes her time as much to the transmission, by giving courses to the association Atelier Créatif Ding Ding of which she is the founder, only to the practice of painting.

In 2019, she became a new member of the artist collective of Génie de la Bastille.

Inspired by the avant-garde movements of Fauvism, Expressionism, Art Brut, Arte Povera, symbolism in a word the search for a painting based on freedom of expression as well in technique, gesture and plastic constraints, she offers us a surprising new concept of the vibrations of our Urban World as well as its stylized existential questions.

The main theme of his work Les Résonances Urbaines or the vibrations of the urban world.

Backlighting, the power of lights brushing against the depths of night, vibrant colors where the shadows stretch. These scenes of urban life speak to us about our existential questions: death, love, loneliness, life in society, all these subjects which are the basis of our humanity.

Figurative or abstract? The tracks are blurred, maybe you'll see your own story there.
