Henry Ausloos

Born in Brussels, I pursued general scientific studies there and became a Naturalist. At the beginning, I specialized in the great fauna of the North by personal taste and attraction, but also by permeating, from childhood, the books of Jack London. Since then, my dreams have taken me around the planet, into the mystery of Africa, the sophistication of Asia, or the wilderness of northern Europe and America. I like a challenge, whether in the mountains and often in winter conditions, or as a diver under the dark or transparent waters of the seas I foam.

A retirement of more than ten years allowed me to wonder about the rapid evolution of this world. Since then, I have taken to the road again to observe, approach but also bear witness and share. During festivals and exhibitions, I once again become a lecturer to reach out to everyone, ... but also to denounce the abuses and attacks on our common heritage "planet Earth". Nomadic at heart, a little bohemian, I rarely stay in one place for very long.

World famous, and recognized, a little less than 20 photographic agencies distribute my work. The editors having trusted me on numerous occasions, no less than 38 books mark out my journey, for the moment ... Faithful for more than 40 years to the Nikon equipment, I remain a passionate of life and photography.
