Caroline Lesgourgues

Caroline Lesgourgues is a visual artist, painter-printmaker, and illustrator. She was awarded the Gold Medal of the French Artists in 2023 and the Gold Medal of Francophone Authors and Artists in the same year. Passionate about drawing and printmaking for over forty years, she is dedicated to exploring all aspects of creation and demonstrates innovation in modern engraving techniques, particularly through collagraphy.

Trained at the Duperré School of Applied Arts in Paris and the School of Graphic Arts in Venice, she seeks to unravel the mystery of Creation and to understand the workings of the universe by studying its structure and architecture. Through the study of the various elements that surround us, she deciphers the code of every object, every being, every sensation, and every concept in order to capture their essence.
