I am a daughter of the earth, my roots are agricultural. Reserved and studious, I put aside my literary sensibility to join an engineering school, then I built the managerial career to which I aspired, in a large company.

Out of a sense of commitment and a need to “prove myself", I did it to the point of exhaustion. Excess of “doing", need of “being".

How can we find peace in the frenzy of our daily professional and personal lives? How can we feel legitimate, “in our place", despite the paradoxes that shape us?

In a framework that is both security and constraint, I seek to open spaces of freedom, simplicity and breathing. A return to oneself.

My approach is experimental and sensitive. I paint snapshots of traces of the body in movement, in a breath, anchored in the moment, with roundness and generosity, in a state of intellectual detachment carried by the music.

Through this practice, I seek to bring out a fair, free and resonant gesture, which comes close to “the essential"; like a reconciliation between the one I became and the one I never really stopped being.

The authenticity of oil painting, the simplicity of the knife and the roughness of linen canvases echo the virtues of my origins.

My favorite format is the square, probably because of what it evokes in terms of structure and security.

In this context, the white canvas backgrounds are spaces of emancipation and gentle transgression, carried by light and airy compositions, spontaneous, furtive and imperfect arabesques.

Full or empty, energetic or calm, lively or sober, round or undisciplined, my paintings invite everyone to treat themselves to a moment of contemplation, rejuvenation and exploration of their own aspirations.
