Biography
Abeil has been painting canvases for over eight years and wall murals for the last five years. His half-animal, half-human subjects are originally inspired by the “Rooster Man” legend of his native Reunion Island, France. For him, he seeks to portray the important symbolism that exists in every culture: there is a blending of animals and men, a mixing of their identities and influence on one another. Wherever he goes, he seeks to combine not only the traditional important animal totems of that cultures, but the the modern identity of that place, as well.
