At the beginning of the '90s, Jörg Döring gets recognized for his oversize paintings of comic heroes such as Donald and Mickey Mouse. Since 2000, the artist is interested more particularly in serigraphy on canvas without however giving up painting.
His works on canvas consist of an alternate superposition of several serigraphic impressions applied by hand and painted again. They offer a variety of colours always reinvented.
The artist proposes variations of themes at the same time familiar and dream-like: fantastic heroes or american and european icons such as Brigitte Bardot, Ursula Andress, Andy Warhol, Audrey Hepburn, Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, Peter Fonda, Robert Redford.
