Biography
Karl Otto Lagerfeld known as Karl Lagerfeld is a great German fashion designer, photographer and designer. His talents as a designer allowed him to earn a living as a fashion illustrator in 1954. During his career as a fashion designer (Chloé, Balmain, Fendi, Chanel), he designed numerous costumes for the performing arts.
Karl Lagerfeld has always maintained alongside his career as a fashion designer, an activity as a photographer, since 1989. In 1996, he won the cultural prize of the German Photography Society.
From October 16, 2015 to March 20, 2016, he exhibited his photographic work at the Pinacothèque de Paris, "A visual journey".
Karl Lagerfeld died in 2019.
