Krisztina Serra is a Hungarian visual artist born in 1995, specializing in ceramics and painting. Her work is rooted in the contemplation of everyday life, in those simple moments that weave the fabric of our lives.
"My main inspirations are the moments of life that we experience every day. The joy of meeting, of sharing, of simply contemplating what exists, are for me subjects of wonder that I try to translate into my work."
Trained in painting in Hungary under the direction of Katona György, then in artisanal ceramics in France, at the École Duperré and at ENSAAMA, Krisztina Serra now lives and works in Paris.
Her work, imbued with calm and restraint, is inspired by the spirit of still lifes—or "silent lives," as they are called in Hungary. Through the careful observation of familiar objects, she seeks to reveal their discreet beauty, their unadorned poetry, and the timeless dimension that simplicity conceals.
At the crossroads of art and craftsmanship, his work demonstrates technical rigor and a rare sensitivity. Painting and ceramics come together in a shared search for harmony, where shapes, colors, and materials interact to create compositions imbued with serenity and balance.
