Biography

Giacomo is an Italian painter currently living in Paris. He is originally from Vulcano, an island near Sicily, he spent his childhood in the middle of volcanoes and the sea, and nourrished his passion for nature, a passion he still has today.

Giacomo is fascinated about light and colors. To paint, he needs to travel in order to revitalize this love and inspiration. His paintings are like a journey through countries and cities. The artist combines abstraction and figuration: At first sight, the viewer will only see colorful marks, shapeless masses posed on a canvas. However, if he takes the time to contemplate the paitning carefully, his eyes will be attracted by the details: houses, a flower, a tree... He will then be free to interpret the painting, guided by this suggestive painting through a labyrinth of colors. Giacomo offers a series of different approaches to the viewer: who has the choice between different entrance doors, once he has chosen one, he is the only master of the canvas.
