Biography

BARBARA SPATUZZI
Born in Italy Salerno, she has been an artist since a very young age, with an innate talent for drawing.

Her works explore themes close to her heart: the protection of nature, love in all its forms, and the female universe with its strengths and fragilities.

She works with acrylic and textured materials on canvas. Her colors are always vibrant, with strong tones and compositions that seem to vibrate through dense, dripping layers of paint. As she herself says:

“Colors are part of me—vibrations to be discovered and endlessly mixed. By imprinting dreams and reality onto the canvas, I try to engage the viewer in a surreal world rich with emotion."

Her works have been exhibited in various venues: from the Palazzo delle Arti in Naples to the International Exhibition “Viva Arte Venezia" in 2017, from the Library of the Chamber of Deputies in Rome to the exhibition “Art in the Time of Coronavirus" in Milan for Skira, and up to the Stanze dell'Arte at Palazzo Fruscione in Salerno. She has received several recognitions, including an Honorable Mention at the Premio Borgo D'Albori in Raito, in the painting and poetry section.
