“Painting is where matter becomes emotion, and relationships become visible.”

Biography

Giuseppe Scarangelli (b. 1997, Bari, Italy) is an Italian contemporary artist whose multidisciplinary background combines fine arts with psychology. Trained in piano, painting, sculpture and photography from an early age, he developed a visual language that bridges classical influences and contemporary artistic research.

Holding a degree in Clinical Psychology, Scarangelli worked as a behavioural and cognitive therapist with autistic children, an experience that profoundly shaped his artistic practice. His work explores perception, emotional connection and the subtle dynamics of human relationships, drawing on both psychological insight and lived experience.

Through expressive gestures, layered textures and fluid compositions, Scarangelli creates paintings that evoke presence rather than representation. His works do not depict the human body directly; instead, they capture its rhythm, tension and emotional resonance. Matter becomes a vehicle for memory, interaction and inner experience, inviting viewers into a space where physicality and perception converge.

Combining conceptual depth with a powerful visual language, Giuseppe Scarangelli's work has attracted growing international attention and is represented by contemporary galleries and private collections.
