Martina Merlini

Martina Merlini (Bologna, 1986) lives and works in Milan.

From illustration to geometric abstraction; a journey that leads the artist to experiment and get to know himself through different expressive contexts such as, among others, street art and installations. Materials such as wax and enamels, applied on poor surfaces such as paper and wood, express the constant search for a silent and powerful compositional balance. Dense and symmetrical pictorial strokes are suddenly disarticulated by new thrusts and forms that seem to follow instinctive and natural instincts.
