Born in Naples in 1972, Giancarlo Pagliara spent his childhood in Milan. A former art student, he explored photography and is self-taught. The young photographer draws inspiration from this passion and has turned it into his profession. While doing his research, Giancarlo Pagliara works as a photo-reporter for the press and magazines.
The artist uses a unique technique: the humid collodium film technique (invented in the 19th century). His works highlight the past and timeless aspects....The ancient charm remains intact. An aura emanates from his photos. Play on lights shape preciosity or refined aesthetic sensitiveness. Poetry is infiltrated through a cloudy filter...his creations are an invitation to wonder, contemplate or be nostalgic about the past.
