Biography
Wycliffe (Wiki) Opondo is a self-taught sign painter and comes from the sign painting tradition. He was a member of the Mbili Masai collective in the Kibera slum for many years. These sign painters were responsible for the outdoor advertising of the many small shops, which can be seen everywhere in Nairobi at the roadside.
Today Wycliffe has his studio in the Kuona Trust Art Center. Wycliffe Opondo has been able to show his work in a number of national and international exhibitions.
