Presentation

Alhassane Konte, known as Lass, was born in Kodié, Mali, in 1993.

He lives and works in Bamako. He is a graduate of the Institut National des Arts and the Conservatoire des Arts et Métiers Multimédia in Bamako, and was the winner of the Mali/European Union cooperation competition in 2018.

Based on the observation that scientific positivism without conscience can only lead humanity towards authoritarian political systems or the imposition of health diktats such as we are currently experiencing, Lass takes us into that other first world, that of Aldous Huxley's Savages. The Savages are the only people who are deeply attached to human values through their feelings, and who embrace nature as the primordial vector of happiness.

Children, with their carefree nature and fundamental freedom, are the guardians of these values, represented here by flowers. They must protect them from danger and help each other perpetually to preserve the tranquillity and survival of the World, indeed to carry this harmony forward as a universal model.
