Victory Anthony Nted

Victory is a Toronto-based Nigerian multidisciplinary artist working in textile painting using gouache and acrylic.Her practice centers on portraiture, identity, and healing, drawing from diasporic knowledge systems and cultural symbolism. Through Nigerian textile motifs/patterns her work explores using art as storytelling tools for healing and self-reflection. Working primarily with gouache and acrylic to explore identity, memory, and emotional regulation , she examines how personal and collective histories are held within the body. Her practice is grounded in a trauma-informed lens founded by a background in psychology and mental health interventions.
Alongside her artistic practice, Victory has facilitated community art and wellness workshops using creative expression as a tool for connection, reflection, and care.
