Biography

Krzysztof Lyzyn (Łyżyń), born in 1974 in Jarosław, is a versatile artist and designer whose career blends artistic craftsmanship with academic rigor. After graduating from the Technical School of Applied Arts in Kielce with a specialization in artistic furniture making in 1994, he earned his master's degree with distinction from the Faculty of Interior Architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1999. There, he completed his diploma in Professor A. Bissenik's Studio of Selected Design Issues, complemented by a painting annex in Professor A. Kozyrski's Drawing and Painting Studio.

From 2000 to 2016, Łyżyń remained deeply connected to his alma mater, first as an assistant in Modeling and Furniture studios, and later as a lecturer teaching Modeling, Freehand Perspective, and Descriptive Geometry. Since 2006, he has also been instructing Interior Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture, Higher School of Ecology and Management in Warsaw.

A member of the Warsaw District of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers, Łyżyń co-founded the SZTUKA UŻYTECZNA group and joined the Młodzi Sztuką collective. He coordinated the Art Fresh Festival in its AFF/V/2014 and AFF/VI/2015 editions. Today, he runs his own studio in Warsaw, where he crafts bespoke furniture and unique objects, while having participated in several painting plein-airs and accumulating a rich portfolio of solo and group exhibitions.
