Lu Mourelle

Biography

The focus of Lu Mourelle's paintings is on the representation of women who are different and rich in personality as well as emotion; characters of atypical and contemporary beauty.

The artist continues her research to formulate compositions of color allied to the original traits and multiple countenances. Lu Mourelle starts from deconstruction to strengthen faces and expression-laden looks. They are idealized and at the same time subjective figures, who transform the experience of the public into the contemplation of the feminine.

Lu Mourelle counts exhibitions in countries of South America, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Portugal, and others. Her artworks are in public and private collections in Europe, North and South America, and Asia.
