Marcel Chirnoaga (Romanian, 1930–2008), was a Romanian visual artist, graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics in Bucharest, 1952. Simultaneously pursuing liberal art studies, a member of the Union of Visual Artists in Romania since 1953. He created over 3,000 works in drawings, engravings, paintings and sculptures, being at the same time the author of the most important Romanian work from the end of the 20th century, the cycle of "Apocalypse" engravings.
