Biography

Born in 1963 in Spain, Victoria Rodriguez Cruz the photographer did her artistic training at Arte Escuela Artes y Oficios in Seville, and then joined workshops where she collaborated with Mario Parralejo, Ricky Dávila, Paco Sanchez, Pep Bonet, Cristobal Hara, Rosa Muñoz, José Manuel Navia and Ricardo Cases.

She became co-director and curator at the SIERRA art center and co-creator and cultural manager of the Diavolo production.

The artist is mainly focused on themes of origins and has realized many portraits and landscapes. She has also taken pictures of moments portraying her relationship with her home and its inhabitants. She takes us to her personal world, making her photos warm and accessible. Her passion for others doesn't prevent her from asking questions about her own personality, emotions and highlighting this in her work.

In 2015, the artist participated in two contemporary art fairs: ARCO 2015 and BIPA 2015.
