Biography

Rodrigo Romero Pérez is a Spanish artist born in 1978 and based in Madrid. In 2003, he graduated from the Technical University of Madrid in engineering, and it was only later that he turned to sculpture. In 2013 he graduated in Fine Arts from the Universidad de Complutense in Madrid, and still teaches sculpture there today. He has also been a high school teacher since 2004.

The artist studies urban art, the influence of new technology on sculpture and considers his work similar to street art.

Rodrigo Romero Pérez has created two major monuments. The first, 'Reconstrucción' (140x400x200cm), was inaugurated in May 2016 and is made of bronze and steel. It is a tribute to the women in the Parque de la Memoria in the Navarra community. In June of the same year, his bronze monument 'Ariadna' was unveiled on the Plaza de Dávalos in the town whose name it bears.

He has exhibited extensively in Spain as well as in France, in Paris and Toulouse, and New York.
