Nicolas Noverraz

Nicolas Noverraz has been painting in Geneva since 1996. He traveled quite a bit for his painting and is now part of many private collections in Japan, US, UK, France and Switzerland.

The artistic approach of Nicolas Noverraz addresses issues of our contemporary society. The silkscreen printing display popular Swiss consumption products like (Cenovis, Sinalco, Milka), the artist varies them a little from the original products; these series are a nod to Andy Warhol. The city and its peripheral areas along with cars are among the topics shown in his extremely realistic paintings.

The artist questions the relationship between aesthetically pleasing and its function, between beauty and triviality of consumer goods; through this ambivalence, the artist wants the spectator to realize his relationship with our society.
