Biography

Born 1962 the Swiss photographer got his first camera at the age of twelve and found early his passion for people photography. 2014 he set up the People Art Studio and the People Art Gallery as home base and source of inspiration, where he – together with other creatives – is able to create beauty under ideal conditions.

His free work is based on ideas around literature, songs and lyrics and poems. As he likes contemporary art he is influenced by artists like Sean Scully, Carl Andre, Albert M. Watson and Herb Ritts.

In his work Ulrich is anxious to conserve the personality of his model as well as to preserve his intentionally cool distance. He is smitten by stagings (concrete or distorted) as well as by sculpting with light and shadow.
