Biography

Born in Ukraine in 1990 and raised in the culturally rich city of Odesa, Dariia is a contemporary artist whose practice explores themes of identity, transformation, memory, and the emotional landscapes of human experience. Her figurative paintings blend dreamlike imagery with symbolic narratives, creating immersive worlds where reality and imagination intertwine.

Dariia graduated with a Diploma in Fine Arts from the Grekov Odesa Art School in 2011, one of Ukraine's most respected art institutions. Her academic training provided a strong foundation in classical drawing and painting while fostering her search for a personal visual language. Although she later attended the Academy of Architecture in Odesa, her studies were interrupted by personal circumstances, leading her to pursue an independent artistic path.

Over the years, Dariia has worked across multiple creative disciplines, including restoration, mural painting, commissioned works, decorative arts, and the creation of art objects. These diverse experiences have enriched her artistic vocabulary and deepened her understanding of materiality, craftsmanship, and visual storytelling.

Her recent works are characterized by ethereal female figures, delicate color transitions, and atmospheric compositions that evoke introspection and emotional resonance. Drawing from personal memories, dreams, and universal archetypes, Dariia creates paintings that invite viewers into contemplative spaces where vulnerability, strength, and duality coexist.

In 2024, her work was presented internationally at exhibitions including the Expo Metro Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, EuropArtFair Amsterdam, and the Quarantine Menorca residency and VOLTA Basel Art Fair.
