Biography
Bruce grew up with a deep fascination for making, structure, and understanding how things work. Initially drawn to science, he studied Biology and Chemistry, exploring life at a molecular level before realising that human interaction and lived experience extend far beyond the laboratory. After a period working in the City of London, he returned to the arts, discovering sculpture as the medium that unites scientific precision with creative expression.
His love of the human form and its function lies at the heart of his practice. Working primarily in clay and cast bronze, Bruce creates figurative sculptures that are both technically disciplined and emotionally resonant. Passionate about art as a means of communication, he explores themes of humanity and interaction, inviting viewers to reflect on themselves, their relationships, and the subtle impact of their presence in the world.
