Biography

Caroline Preston is a young English artist born in 1980.

After spending her childhood in Yorkshire, Caroline studied between the cities of London and Northamptonshire where she studied fine arts and drawing.

Caroline Preston developed a unique and special practice, she folds Origami papers during months in order to create a harmony of colors that she uses as a palette of paint in order to create her pieces. In order to do this she uses Japanese Origami paper called "Washi" which is known for its quality.

Origami are famous for symbolizing peace, love and longevity, the butterflies symbolize hope. Legend says that a person who folds a thousand Origami will see all of his wishes come true.

Caroline Preston's work in displayed in numerous exhibitions in different English and foreign galleries.
