Art Basel Hong Kong 2023

Art Basel is the largest international contemporary art fair, with a powerful grip on the world's artistic landscape. The original fair, Art Basel in Switzerland, was created in the 1970s, whilst the latest edition “Paris+ by Art Basel" took place for the first time in October 2022. Host cities and countries play an integral part in the organization of each fair, as it is the local art institutions and galleries that are the heart of the artistic programs.

This year, Art Basel Hong Kong will take place from the 23rd to the 25th of May. It will feature 177 exhibitors from 32 countries, marking a departure from the online or scaled-down editions which have taken place since COVID. The 2023 edition will also welcome the return of Encounters, a section of the fair which features large-scale artworks.
