Description
This textile artwork is distinguished by its dynamic geometric composition. Horizontal bands of vibrant colors—red, blue, green, yellow, and orange—are skillfully juxtaposed, creating a captivating visual rhythm. A central white band harmoniously disrupts the pattern, accentuating the contrast between the vivid hues. The precise, textured weave adds a tactile dimension. Each colored segment seems to dance around the central line, perhaps symbolizing an unexpected rupture or continuity. The balance between symmetry and asymmetry is meticulously orchestrated, revealing a profound exploration of color and form.

Françoise Paressant-Tual, born in 1944, lives and works in Orne, France.
Her tapestries have been exhibited at the Musées des Beaux Art in Nantes, Pau, Alençon, Aubusson and are part of numerous public collections in France. She started to work on paper and canvas in 1988.
