Description
This striking artwork presents a surreal anthropomorphic figure, blending avian and human features with bold creativity. A bird's head, characterized by vibrant plumage and an imposing beak accented with a nose ring, replaces the human's face. This avian visage conveys a sense of regality and power. The figure wears a vibrant green turtleneck sweater, adorned with unique patches, adding a layer of modern human fashion to the image. The contrasting bright red background intensifies the overall visual impact, highlighting the subject's details and lending an intense energy to the piece. The eclectic mix of textures and colors challenges conventional boundaries, inviting viewers to explore themes of identity and hybridity. This artwork captivates with its audacious fusion of species, compelling viewers to ponder the interplay between nature and human influence.
Presentation
Bonaschi was born in Milan, Italy, on November 9, 1959.
An artist of remarkable expressive impact, his training takes its cue from the world of fashion, a communications professional who over the years has been absorbed into a related sector, visual art.
In his works there has always been the common thread of pop influence, of convergences with the life path of the greatest of all, Andy Warhol.
He has frequented many of the Factory's followers in recent years, but has always had a very close bond with his homeland.
Milan then led him to an uninterrupted exchange with the creative inspirations of fashion, which took shape and settled on the covers of international magazines in the same years as the explosion of Bonaschi's artistic communicative message.
Another fundamental element of the artist's work is writing, already used by other illustrious Italian artists of the 20th century, here it becomes the protagonist in its contemporary modulation, that of the font, in its most technological declination in the new millennium.
Bonaschi is very present among the elite of international collectors and is currently dedicating himself to a widespread dissemination of his message, which is indeed of a pop nature.
