Description
This artwork commands attention with its minimalist and elegant composition. A striking black-and-white palette draws the viewer into a sweeping, curved form, suggestive of motion and depth. The curvature dominates the piece, creating a dynamic tension between the stark contrast of black against white. Fine, textural details within the black expanse add layers of intrigue, inviting closer inspection. The use of negative space is masterful, allowing the piece to convey a sense of balance and harmony despite its simplicity. A subtle stamp or signature in the bottom corner hints at the creator's identity, adding a personal touch to this bold abstract work. The black frame encapsulates the piece, enhancing its dramatic impact and presenting it as a complete, self-contained statement. This artwork exemplifies the power of minimalism, urging the observer to reflect on the interplay of form, color, and space.
Presentation
Violetta Arnesen was born in 1962 in Poland. She lived in Norway for many years before returning to Poland in 2021. She is a member of the Tegnerforbundet (TF), the Norwegian Drawing Center. She graduated from the Einar Granum School of Fine Arts in Oslo in 2006. Her first professional training was in geology, graduating from the University of Wroclaw (Poland) in 1987.
Your abstract drawings emerge from your knowledge of geology and your particular interests in natural structures and their components. Create your drawings using only simple, repetitive lines, slowly building up your impressions of the beauty, patterns, systems, and connections of nature, in both two and three dimensions, both interior and exterior. Our works are minimalist, detailed, and meditative.
