Description

Striking Black & White Stippling Artwork | Surreal Female Portrait, Metamorphic Vision, Perfect Contemporary Decor Statement Piece.

Discover "Butterfly Gaze," a truly mesmerizing artwork that captures the imagination with its unique visual narrative. This original ink drawing employs an intricate stippling technique on cotton paper, creating a stunning black and white depiction of a female face where the eyes are replaced by a flurry of delicate butterflies. The artist's intention is beautifully realized: "the gaze transforms into butterflies, replacing the pupils and dissolving into motion," making vision a poignant departure that unveils a delicate void shaped by metamorphosis. This artwork is not just a visual treat; it's a conversation starter, inviting contemplation on identity, transformation, and the power of perception. Its elegant monochromatic aesthetic makes it an ideal choice for elevating modern interiors, offering a sophisticated and unique touch to any home decor. Consider "Butterfly Gaze" as an exceptional and memorable gift for someone special, an art lover, or anyone looking to infuse their contemporary living space with a piece that combines artistic skill with profound symbolic meaning. It's more than an artwork; it's an experience.

Presentation

Iana Cherepansky (b. 1987, Krasnoyarsk) is a artist, member of SABA. She holds an MFA with honors in Monumental Decorative Sculpture from the Hvorostovsky Siberian Institute of Arts, and studied Motion Design at the British School of Design. Winner of the ALL Women Artist Award (USA, 2021) and SABA, her works are held in the Yelabuga State Museum. She lectured at the British School of Design and Scream School. Specializing in black-and-white pointillism, she explores the meditative nature of manual technique.

With a background in digital motion design and monumental sculpture, she approaches drawing as a tactile antidote to screen fatigue and digital overload. Her works are created through thousands of hand-applied ink dots—each one a deliberate, mindful gesture.

Transforming digital concepts and 3D sketches into analog images, Cherepansky explores the materiality of time and attention. Her minimalist, monochrome compositions evoke spectral figures, abstract forms, or botanical traces, inviting the viewer into a slow, contemplative experience. For Cherepansky, pointillism is not simply a technique, but a meditative ritual—an act of resistance against the rapid pace of modern visual culture.
