Description

This atmospheric coastal artwork captures a peaceful seaside moment filled with light, silence, and emotional calm. Soft pastel textures bring together luminous shades of turquoise blue, ocean teal, cloudy white, sandy beige, and deep coastal indigo, creating a dreamy marine landscape where elegant yachts rest quietly near the shore beneath a dramatic sky. The composition feels cinematic yet intimate — like a memory of a calm vacation afternoon that suddenly becomes more valuable years later.

Created with soft pastels on paper and presented in a clean white frame with passe-partout, this artwork radiates warmth, nostalgia, and a longing for simple human joys: quiet evenings, sunlight on water, a favorite book, tea without anxiety, and the rare luxury of emotional peace. Honestly, modern life has accidentally turned “doing absolutely nothing near the sea" into a premium psychological service.

The expressive pastel technique creates softness and movement simultaneously, allowing the sea and sky to blend into a luminous atmosphere filled with air and reflection. The sailboats become symbols of freedom, stillness, hope, and emotional escape from everyday noise. This contemporary coastal artwork works beautifully in modern interiors focused on comfort, relaxation, and natural light.

Perfect for collectors searching for sailboat artwork, coastal wall decor, pastel seascape art, nautical contemporary artwork, beach-inspired interiors, or calming marine paintings. Its elegant blue palette and peaceful mood make it ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, beach houses, reading spaces, boutique hotels, wellness studios, and Scandinavian interiors.

This artwork also makes a refined gift for ocean lovers, travelers, sailing enthusiasts, and anyone emotionally surviving by mentally relocating themselves to the sea at least twice a day.

Professionally framed with plastic frame and passe-partout for elegant presentation and display.

Presentation

Elena Petrova, Experienced artist

Elena Petrova is a painter working primarily in oil on canvas and dry pastel on paper. She specializes in the styles of realism and impressionism. Her work primarily revolves around themes related to water, with a focus on seascapes and marine landscapes.

Elena Petrova says, "The canvas is a wonderful place where so much can be conveyed and equally seen. I find inspiration in nature, the sea, books, photography, and music. I study the influence of the sea on the human condition and ask myself, 'Why are we so drawn to this salty water...?' My hobby led me to live by the sea, which is magical and ever-changing, with waves, sounds, and colors. I see a million shades in a single color. The sea is not just blue; it is blue-green, or sometimes with a touch of light azure, barely perceptible shades of blue. In the depths, it becomes less transparent. It's just an endless source of inspiration. On days when I'm not painting, I memorize the feelings I get from what I see, so I can later capture them on canvas. When I'm painting, I'm completely immersed in my work; nothing can distract me from the process. For me, it's a form of relaxation and meditation. In my work, I convey the tranquility and serenity we experience when looking at the sea. My works resonate with many people. They are created in a contemporary style and fit into any interior. They are often compared to historical works of art."

In 2022, she gained experience working as a curator for art exhibitions. Notable among the numerous group exhibitions Elena Petrova has participated in are "MIAMI ARTWEEKS DECEMBER 22" by ARTBOXY during Miami Art Week in the USA and "ARTEXPO BASEL" by ARTBOXY at EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg in Switzerland. Her upcoming exhibition is "Russian Art Week." Currently, one of Elena's works is featured at the Festival of Russian Art in the Scientific Institute of Ankara's Russia-Turkish Week of Culture and Art. The project's curator is collector and rector of Oxford University, Prof. Dr. Yavuz Demir. Elena is also a regular participant in the "Artists on the Rise" auction in the UK.

In 2023, Elena Petrova won 3rd place in the international exhibition competition "Landscapes of the World" in Serbia. In 2021, she received 1st place in the 26th season of the GOLDEN TIME TALENT competition in the UK. In 2020, she was awarded 6th PLACE-TIE in the AMERICAN ART AWARDS competition in the USA. In 2017, she was a 1st-degree laureate in the "Show World. House of the Sun" festival-competition in Turkey.

She has also participated in charity initiatives on Instagram, where she sold her artwork and donated 30% of the proceeds to support the treatment of an oncology patient named Lera from her hometown, Karasuk, in the Novosibirsk region. Elena often helps acquaintances by giving away her paintings to those who love her work but may not have the means to purchase it.
