Balcon belle époque, 2026

Quentin Badran

The white line, precise and graphic, structures the space on a dark background. This visual architecture evokes a geological cross-section or a dreamlike journey through different strata.
Organic shapes intertwine with geometric elements. Vegetal patterns, sinuous lines, and suggestive details such as a red lighthouse on a shore are discernible.
The contrast between deep black and touches of primary colors guides the eye upwards. The rigor of the drawing emphasizes a marked architectural influence. The whole unfolds like an imaginary map where the real and the dream meet.
At the bottom of the composition, horizontal lines stabilize the scene. The work plays on the balance between empty and full. The precision of the outline creates a constant visual rhythm. The final rendering relies on the use of colored pigments and a sharp white line.
