Rhythm of Life™ Collection
Limited Edition Collector Print – Signed, Numbered & Certificate of Authenticity (Edition of 5 Worldwide)
A joyful celebration of rhythm, connection, and creative expression, this contemporary Afro Pop Cubist composition transforms the sound of a trumpet into a visual conversation. Bold geometric forms, vibrant colour relationships, and expressive movement create an uplifting composition where every shape appears to pulse with music.
The background draws inspiration from Yoruba Aso Oke (Òfì)—the celebrated woven textile of prestige, honour, and identity. Rather than serving as a backdrop alone, its rhythmic vertical patterns echo the cadence of music itself, creating a harmonious dialogue between African textile heritage and contemporary visual language.
Printed on Museum Quality Bright White Cotton-Poly Blend Canvas using OEM archival water-based inks, this collector's edition delivers exceptional colour accuracy, rich tonal depth, and remarkable longevity. The satin finish enhances the artwork's contemporary presence while preserving its subtle elegance.
The artwork measures 20 × 32 inches, surrounded by a 2-inch Aso Oke-inspired border on all sides, resulting in a 24 × 36-inch canvas. Shipped rolled and unstretched, the generous border provides flexibility for professional stretching and is especially suited for elegant gallery-wrap presentation
Music has always been one of humanity's oldest conversations. Long before words, rhythm, melody, and breath carried stories from one heart to another.
This work celebrates that universal language. The trumpet becomes more than an instrument—it becomes a voice of optimism, imagination, and shared experience. Every note it releases is answered by colour, geometry, and movement, reminding us that creativity has the power to unite people across cultures, generations, and borders.
The woven rhythms of Yoruba Aso Oke (Òfì) reinforce this dialogue, symbolizing the threads that connect memory, heritage, and artistic expression. The repeating patterns mirror musical phrasing, where every pause, repetition, and variation contributes to a greater harmony.
May this piece inspire us to keep creating, keep listening, and remember that every meaningful conversation begins with a single note offered in hope.
This edition represents the convergence of contemporary design, African cultural heritage, and the timeless language of music.
Collectors will appreciate this work for its:
This is more than a musical composition rendered in colour. It is a visual celebration of dialogue, culture, and joy—a work that reminds us that some of life's most meaningful conversations are spoken without word
Lanre Studio
"Where tradition finds rhythm, the spirit finds its voice."
Lanre Adefioye is a contemporary Nigerian-Canadian artist whose work explores the intersection of culture, memory, and modern life through a distinctive style he defines as Afro Pop Cubism, a fusion of abstract cubism, pop art, and African visual heritage.
His practice transforms everyday moments into vibrant visual narratives, where ancestral patterns meet bold colour and geometric form. Drawing inspiration from traditional African motifs and symbolism, Lanre reinterprets them through a contemporary lens, creating works that are both culturally rooted and forward-looking.
Through layered compositions and dynamic structures, his art invites viewers into a space of introspection, emotional connection, and joyful reflection. Each piece becomes a visual dialogue, bridging past and present, tradition and innovation, simplicity and depth.
Lanre’s work celebrates identity, rhythm, and storytelling, offering a modern expression of African heritage that resonates across cultures and generations.
He works primarily with acrylic on canvas and wood, as well as three-dimensional wooden sculpture, while also creating digital works that extend his visual language across contemporary formats. His multidisciplinary background in industrial design and graphic design contributes to the strong sense of rhythm, balance, and visual clarity present throughout his practice.
His artistic journey began as a teenager following a transformative studio visit with the late artist David H. Dale, an experience that solidified his commitment to art and shaped his creative direction. Over the years, his work has been exhibited in galleries and art fairs, and for more than a decade he has focused on online distribution, allowing his work to reach a global audience directly.
Lanre's work has been widely collected internationally. Highlights include over 4,800 artworks sold through his Lanre Studio Etsy platform and more than 700 customer reviews, licensing partnerships with major retailers including Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond, Michaels, Fabrix Lancaster, and Let's Sew, and a feature in CNN Underscore’s, His artwork was also selected for the 2012 ICRW Champions for Change Awards Gala publications.
Lanre's mission is to create art that uplifts, work that serves as a continual source of positivity, reflection, and connection for those who encounter it.
