Original etching and aquatint on copper 17 X 17 cm by Ludovic Debeurme. 30 copies numbered and signed by the artist printed on Rives 25 x 25 cm on the presses of the RLD workshop. He was convinced that if he really wanted to, he could fly ... all you had to do was dare ... Thus began Céfalus, published more than ten years ago by Cornelius. Since then, from Ludology to Terra Maxima, via Le Grand Autre, the cliff runs through the work of Ludovic Debeurme. Three sons, the last born of this unclassifiable work is no exception with, at the top of this chalk cliff, an intriguing old man with a white beard ... A man had three sons: the first, Bird, had black eyes. a bird, the second, Twombly, two long wooden spears instead of arms and the third, Horn, concealed under its red hood a face covered with hair.
Presentation
Born in 1971, Ludovic Debeurme is an author and illustrator of comic books. After studying art at the Sorbonne, he published his first work Comix 2000 and Céfalus in 2002, Mes Ailes d'Homme in 2003 and many others which have been acclaimed by the critics.
Ludovic Debeurme takes the reader to a poetic almost dreamlike world. Combining perfect graphical technique and narrative talent, the artist evokes in his works the theme of childhood and fantasies. His work combining literature and illustration are dangerously enchanting, to the point that the reader enjoys getting lost in it.
At the top of his career, Ludovic received in 2006, the René Goscinny prize for his work "Lucille" and was selected as one of the 5 top best illustrators of books at the "Festival International de la Bande Dessiné d'Angoulême".
