Description
The image unfolds like a fragmented mosaic. Pop Art expresses itself here through a meticulous assembly of cut-out papers. Fragments of magazines unite to form a composite face. Each piece brings its own color. The deep blue dialogues with a bright red. Splashes of yellow punctuate the composition.
The gaze of the portrait seems to emerge from an organized chaos. The collage technique transforms everyday elements into a complex figure. Lines intersect. Textures intertwine. The surrounding white space isolates the composition and accentuates its dynamism.
This piece made in 2026 plays with the superposition of layers. The visual rendering evokes a thoughtful deconstruction of identity. The artist uses print and paper to build this hybrid portrait. The final result oscillates between abstraction and figuration. The whole ends with a discreet signature in the bottom right corner.
Presentation
Self-taught and visual artist, Florepea lives and works in Lyon. She began her collage career in 2010 after a career as a watercolorist in London in the 1990s.
Florepea's art is rooted in transforming everyday life into visually striking works of art. Using magazines as a canvas, she creates mosaics from paper fragments that both question and captivate.
His works have been exhibited in Lyon Paris Toulon and are now visible at the Art Génération gallery.
