Description
This artwork depicts an ancient doorway set into a rustic stone wall. The patina of the wooden door, adorned with faded shades of blue and green, evokes the passage of time. The wrought-iron fittings, with their sinuous forms, add a touch of elegance and mystery. The surrounding stones, in ochre and beige hues, indicate time-honored craftsmanship. The symmetrical and solidly assembled stone archway spans the scene, emphasizing the robustness of the structure. The whole exudes an atmosphere of tranquility and nostalgia, suggesting entry into a place steeped in history and secrets. The composition harmoniously balances texture and color, offering a captivating glimpse into a serene past. This art transports the viewer to a bygone era, while simultaneously celebrating the timeless beauty of architectural heritage.

I live and work in Sète in my home studio
As a versatile artist, my work is primarily divided into 3 areas:
Drawing practiced in the studio with a live model or outdoors
Painting, oil and mixed media, watercolor, travel journal
Working with the Earth: modeling, throwing, sculpture
2023/2024 - My long stay in the Maghreb, Tunisia and Morocco, inspired me to create works in homage to Amazigh culture - ceramic jewelry - as well as paintings, watercolors and mixed media, based on my personal photos.
The series presented "Portes du Maghreb" at the small format exhibition of the La Baule gallery constitutes a part of it.
