Description
In "Sakura Wind," Tetiana Pchelnykova masterfully synthesizes the dramatic energy of English Romanticism with the delicate symbolism of Eastern aesthetics. Drawing inspiration from J.M.W. Turner's atmospheric "sfumato" and light-saturated horizons, the artist presents a seascape where the wind becomes a visible force.
The composition captures a fleeting moment: cherry blossom petals are swept from the branch, soaring over dark, resilient rocks and a vast, pulsating sea. This dialogue between the ephemeral (the blossom) and the eternal (the ocean) serves as a profound allegory for the current Ukrainian reality—a struggle for harmony and the preservation of beauty amidst the storm. The sophisticated pink-beige tonality creates a sense of weightlessness, inviting the viewer to experience freedom not as a destination, but as an infinite internal state.

Series Description:
In her new series, Depths of Freedom, Ukrainian artist Tetiana Pchelnykova explores the grandeur of the ocean, sea, and sky to capture their symbolism, energy, and ever-changing beauty. For Tetiana, the ocean serves as a metaphor for freedom—both personal and the freedom of her country, which continues its daily struggle for light and harmony against the forces of darkness.
Through abstract seascapes, the artist conveys profound emotions and the raw power of the elements. Each painting intuitively reflects the dance of light on water, the texture of waves, and the gradients of the sky. Special attention is given to dynamic details—from the foam on the waves' surface to subtle reflections—that create an atmosphere shifting between serenity and drama.
The Depths of Freedom series invites viewers to reflect on the connection between humanity and nature, as well as on freedom as an essential part of existence. The paintings are imbued with light, movement, and profound symbolism, making them not only visually captivating but also emotionally resonant.

Tetiana Pchelnykova is a professional mixed media
figurative and conceptual artist based in Kyiv,Ukraine. She has been a full-time artist since 2016.
She explore the profound role of women in society through her paintings. The art establishes a dialogue between past and present, tradition and innovation, reflecting the strength and wisdom of women. She engage with philosophical
systems like Existentialism and Phenomenology, offering deep insights into the modern world .
She creates unique oil-acrylic paintings in her own mixed media technique.
Tetiana holds a certificate from MoMa. Since 2018, her paintings have been presented at national and world exhibitions including 4 personal. More than 100 collectors from Europe, USA and Japan have her paintings in their homes.
