Corinne Foucouin

Corinne Foucouin is a painter with a passion for oil painting, pastels and photography. She lives and works in Aulnay-sous-Bois in the Ile de France region, and regularly visits Brittany, which inspires her with its colours, atmospheres and lights.

His art is abstract, with a touch of free and intuitive expression, influenced by painters such as JM William Turner, Claude Monet, Zao Wou-Ki, Joan Mitchell, Gerhard Richter, Tony Soulier, Philippe Cognee.

She often draws inspiration from walks and landscapes, the seaside, forests and ponds, and travel.

His painting is inspired, meditative, and intuitive. His artistic journey develops a sensitive approach and explores the path of vibrant colors. His abstract landscapes are suggested, merely evoked.

She paints with a lot of materials like a memory that floats and is reflected in a blur.

The presence of water is felt in most of his paintings.

Multidisciplinary, her preferred medium is oil painting, which she mainly works with a knife on canvas in thickness.

Corinne delves into her travel memories: Egypt, Morocco, Sardinia, Crete, Norway, the Jura, Venice, New York, and of course Brittany.

About :

“The play of colors calls for light."

"Corinne Foucouin must have swallowed too much light at once; her landscapes exploded in my head. I see in them a celebration of color, as well as precious music from the depths of life."

– Dominique Dumont, writer, poet.

“A living painting that invites contemplation. A painting that changes depending on where one contemplates it from, depending on the light, depending on who one is at the precise moment when one's eyes rest on it, lose themselves in it. Vibrant colors that speak to the infinitely sensitive, heal, and propel into the imagination of one's childlike soul in love with freedom and true joys. A powerful, fertile, unlimited work that discovers itself as it is accomplished. An essential language of the best of oneself toward the best of an invisible and yet very present elsewhere."

- Claudine Bourbigot, author, director.
