Description

This acrylic composition offers a dreamlike vision of nature. The gaze follows a clear stream that guides the perspective towards a stone bridge. Bluish hills are outlined under a sun-yellow sky.
The style resembles cloisonnism. Sharp black outlines structure the space and delineate flat areas of bright colors. The contrasts are marked between the purple shades of the vegetation and the brightness of the ground.
The simplification of forms transforms the landscape into a poetic impression. The artist moves away from faithful reproduction to favor sensation. The slender trees stretch upwards, balancing the composition.
The whole navigates between figuration and abstraction. The light seems to emanate from the heart of the canvas. This graphic work captures the essence of an imaginary journey. The scene concludes with bluish-gray rocks arranged along the bank.

Presentation

Lucile Plancke Delassus is a self-taught painter based in Léon, in the heart of the Landes region. Her artistic practice is closely linked to her natural surroundings, from which she draws most of her inspiration to explore the power and beauty of landscapes through acrylic painting.

Her numerous travels to Australia, Kenya, South Africa and Miami… also fuel her imagination, enriching her palette with light, colour and sensations drawn from diverse horizons.

Her work is characterised by a bold use of colour and a simplification of forms that leans towards free figuration. Influenced by Cloisonnisme, she structures her canvases using bold black outlines, creating a dialogue between intense blocks of colour and assertive graphic lines.

Memory and emotion guide her brushwork, transforming each work into a meditative space where the memory of a moment fragments into luminous nuances. Her compositions do not seek to reproduce reality, but to capture the essence of the vibrations and emotions felt in the presence of the elements. This unique artistic approach, which navigates between abstraction and figuration, has been recognised by her selection for the Salon 2026 at the Grand Palais in Paris. Her landscapes – whether inspired by the forests of the Landes, mountainous terrain or horizons discovered during her travels – stand out as poetic impressions deeply rooted in the living world.
