Description
These works were created with the software “Lines Without Calculation” developed by Charles Giulioli. They are printed by sublimation process on aluminum. The title indicates the precise time of creation. Each print is unique. No intention except the happiness and curiosity to observe chance at work. These lines are mathematical curves, "Bézier curves"; The calculation is precise, but it is carried out from parameters drawn at random. There is something light and joyful in the free offerings. A curve for no other reason than its mere presence, a feeling of freedom, a door open to the unexpected. The work is delivered unframed but with the hanging system on the back. You can choose to have it framed with an American frame (see the additional visuals of a work in situation).
Presentation
Charles Giulioli is a French artist born in 1954. He has been exhibiting and making a living by painting since 1979, a date on which he left CNRS (Biophysics laboratory in Montpellier). From 1983 till 1990, he spent 7 years in the United States where Schlumberger Gallery became his exclusive agent. He got settled down in the region of Toulouse in 1991.
Since 2003, digital art experiences have led him to devise "L'Oeuvre sans fin", an image creation program. He developed this program under the form of digital prints and interactive multimedia installations. From 1999 till 2010, he animated a seminar for engineering students from Supaéro on the "Art and Mathematics" theme.
Charles Giulioli created several private and public orders of mural paintings but also, posters, lithography and digital prints. Since 2000, the UNESCO editions have been publishing cards from his works every year. Today, Charles Giulioli has taken things a step further and presents us with his "Fotalux" prints, magnificently depicting his generative digital work.
